As an advanced management concept, lean
production has created a thought revolution in Chinese enterprises. The
research object in this paper is to study the furniture manufacturing
enterprises in China ,
especially those steel furniture manufacturers. The aim of this paper is to
perceive the application of lean production in furniture enterprises production
management.
This paper is divided into four sections.
Section I and II introduce the characteristics and theoretical basis of lean
production, as well as the differences in manufacturing management between the
furniture enterprises. Section III introduces the manufacturing status quo of
enterprise A. The process consuming resources but no value added is analyzed
through value stream map. In Section IV, the application of the lean production
thoughts during the manufacturing process according to the practical situation
of enterprise A are raised. The main contents cover: produce by needs,
continuous flow improvements, production layout improvement and etc; Meanwhile,
this section brings out the applications of Kanban ,production planning
balance, precision design, reducing wastes and other similar areas for
discussion.
