When airport seating is secured to the flooring or walls of the building there is no way that a child can have this type of accident in the waiting area. The child can still fall from the furniture when they are standing and can still be injured, but the company can show that they made every reasonable effort to prevent accidents from happening, and they will be less likely to lose a lawsuit that could be filed over an injury.

The designers of the waiting areas will also be concerned about whether or not the furnishings will be strong and durable. There are going to be a large number of people that sit in these chairs each day and the furnishings should be able to withstand all of this use. The chairs should also be able to be used for several years without needing to be replaced.

The longer that the furniture is able to stay in place the less money the company has to spend on replacement pieces. Every company is concerned about saving money and keeping their costs as low as possible. By purchasing merchandise that gives good service for an extended period of time the company saves money.
