Study On Paulownia Furniture Design Based On

The Paulownia is one of the important cultivated tree species for the

short—cycle—oriented timber uses in our country。but it is also a better material in 1ight

soft wood lumber in China，Paulowniais widely used in furniture manufacturing。Based on

the analysiS of characteristics of paulownia。the structures of traditional furniture

as well as the stability，strength。durability and the joint strength among components

of cabinet furniture are made of paulownia，this thesis puts forward a detachable

non—glue dovetail furniture design。which would be a certain guiding role to the

development and manufacturing of Paulownia furniture．The results of research also provide

reference for the development and manufacturing of other artificial fast—growing wood．

as well as for the structural strength of solid wood furniture design．

1)Paulownia wood properties were analyzed systematically：paulownia has a 1ighter color

and a smooth。orderly。natural grain：it is easy to be bleached SO that i t can be dyed

as man—made mahogany and man—made ebony，etc：because it has no special odor，it can be

made into furniture for various uses；it c印absorb ultraviolet rays，while reflect
