flat surface parallel with the front of the back rest and measure the seat
depth

to understand that we need the depth of the seat as if someone were sitting in
the office chair.

Back Cushion Height: The back
rest should have two flat surfaces placed at both the top and bottom of the
cushion. This will ensure that the highest point of the back rest will be measured.

Back Cushion Width: The widest
portion of the back rest should be measured when measuring the width of the
back cushion. Placing two flat surfaces on either side of the back rest will
help you to take the correct measurement.

Pillow Thickness: The pillow thickness
will be measured by placing a flat surface in front of the headrest and taking
the measurement from the flat surface to the back of the headrest.

Lumbar Thickness: Lumbar thickness
is the thickest part of the lumbar support. The measurement will be from the
front of the lumbar support to the back of the back rest.

Back Cushion Thickness-Plastic
Covered Back Rest: The back rest should have a flat surface placed on both the
back and front sides.
When measuring
the thickness of a back rest with plastic backing, it is important to
understand that we are trying to obtain the thickrest point of the back
cushion.

Seat Cushion Depth: Place a
flat surface on both the rear and front sides of the seat. Once again we are
trying to obtain the deepest measurement of the seat.

Seat Cushion Width: The widest
point of the seat is usually towards the center of the seat, this is where the
measurement should be taken.

Seat Cushion Thickness: The
seat cushion thickness will be measured in the same manner as the back rest.
The thickest point of the seat cushion is what is needed on Quote Sheet.
The thickest
point of the seat is usually towards the front of the seat.
10.
Base Diameter: The base should
be measured with the casters on in order to ensure that the widest measurement
is taken.
